New Short Story! “Favor” In After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories

I just published a new (surprise) short story in After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories. I say surprise, because I didn’t know I was going to write this one, and it definitely surprised me when I did. :)

“Favor” revisits Salvadore, from Salvadore’s Luck, in the early days of his life with the Wolves.

Anyway, you can find it in the collection in the usual places.

Read on Laterpress | Read on Kindle Vella

Or go to the main page for the collection and see what’s in it, and where and how to get access to it: the After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories main page.

If you read the new story, I hope you like it! And if you want more, let me know. I love knowing there’s someone besides me who cares about these stories. :)

“Scratch”, a New Wolves’ Heat Short Story, Is Available Now!

There’s another new short story in the After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories collection!

This one is called “Scratch” and it’s another one for Brendan (and Trey) set early in their life together. You can certainly consider it a follow-up to “Claw”.

Get it from me and read it on Laterpress, or read it on Kindle Vella when it goes live there. :)

Also coming in the next few days are some new episodes of Mage in Love.

If you give the story a try, I hope you like it as much as I do! Happy reading! :D

“Itch” is a New Wolves’ Heat Short Story in After the Heat!

There’s a new short story in the After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories collection!

This one is called “Itch” and it’s a follow-up to “Prick”. Get it from me and read it on Laterpress, or read it on Kindle Vella when it goes live there. :)

That’s not all that’s coming this week! I have another completed Wolves’ Heat short story that I’ll be putting into the collection, and new episodes of Mage in Love.

It’s gonna be a busy couple of days for me, and I hope some fun reading for you! :D

I’ll post as things become available.

Anyone waiting on the short story for the New Canton Republic series that I hinted at a while back are finally going to get to see it soon. I’ll probably write more of them, because I really love my New Canton universe! :D

“Prick” Is Available Now in the After the Heat Collection!

In “Prick,” go back to the time of Mason’s Regret, where Mason’s twin brother, Marcus, shares some of his story with us.

Marcus has always looked out for his twin brother, Mason. Some things never change—and some things have to…

If you want it right now, you can buy from me. Or wait a bit, and read it on Kindle Vella when it goes live on Amazon.

You can always find these links to After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories on the main page for the collection!

This one might get a part 2, but I’m not set on that. So if you want it to have a part 2, definitely find a way to let me know you’re interested. If I think I’m the only person who cares, I might not get around to it. :)

The original story for this title was published as “Claw” (the third story in After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories). The second story for this title was published as Cam and Rick Play Dirty (a.k.a. Bel and Reed’s Long Night). But finally there’s a story for this title that stuck!

That would be this one. It’s not quite “after the heat” in the same sense the previous three stories are, but it is an after the heat story. You’ll see what I mean if you read it. :)

If you do, I hope you enjoy getting to know a little more about Mason’s twin brother, Marcus. I certainly did, and I really enjoyed getting to write it.

Cam and Rick Play Dirty (a.k.a. Bel and Reed’s Long Night) Is a New Wolves’ Heat Short Story!

Available now direct from me! Coming soon to the usual retailers. :)

This story, I don’t even know where to start. Cam and Rick Play Dirty (a.k.a. Bel and Reed’s Long Night) was supposed to be “Claw” in the After the Heat collection. Then I realized “Prick” was a much better title, so I wrote a different story that ended up being “Claw”, and I’m glad I did, because I really like what I ended up with.

But then this one went longer than I had planned for it to be, by a LOT. It became a story that’s commensurate in length with Devon and Kem Under the Mistletoe (a.k.a. Ian and Craig’s First Fight). It also felt like a different kind of story than those that are in the After the Heat collection, so there was that.

But making it a volume of the Wolves’ Heat Stories meant I needed a new title, because “Prick” is the title that most suits the fourth story in the After the Heat collection! Which also means I needed a new story to go with that title!

Whew.

All that to say, I settled on a title for this one, and I’ve added a cover, and it’s going up this week as an individually published short story in the Wolves’ Heat universe.

“Prick” will also be coming soon to the After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories collection. It’s not the story it was, but it’s the story it was meant to be! :)

Liam and Eli

I learn something new about these guys every time I sit down to write their stories. :D Why do these guys always surprise me? Also, is it a spoiler to say that Eli’s love interest is not who I expected it to be when I started these two books (Liam’s Trust and Eli’s Promise)!?

Also, look for a sneak peek at one of those love interests in “Prick” when it is published to the After the Heat: Wolves’ Heat Stories collection. I won’t say which guy he is for, because I really don’t want to spoil anything, but you will definitely see a certain someone again. ;-)

Will’s Hope Is Now Available in Paperback!

The trade paperback edition of Will’s Hope is now available at Amazon! (More links are available on the Will’s Hope book page. Check them out if you need a link to a different retailer.)

The book is a 5 x 8 inch trade paperback and 496 pages. It’s a monster. ;-)

At this moment in time, I’m really wishing I hadn’t imagined all my books would be about the same length as Ian’s Choice and set them up to publish as 5 x 8 paperbacks. If the books keep going long, I might have to republish in a larger book format, like a 5.5 x 8.5 or a 9 x 6.

If you’re a paperback purchaser, would it disappoint you to have the newer books in a different size?

Anyway, let me know in the comments if you care one way or the other. It’ll make it a little easier for me to decide what I’m going to do with longer books in the future. :D
