R’H’ani Chronicles #5 is almost ready

It’s turned out to be a story I really love! And like with the last stories in the R’H’ani Chronicles, it’s a complete story that’s also the first part of two tightly connected stories. (Like the Nyk/Ralen stories and the Mareck/Garym stories.)

Arlen is a red-headed freckle-faced young man with his own reasons for being in Sa’Marckale’s harem, and he’s just lovely! I’m not going to spoil the story by naming the other characters, but you’ll see plenty of familiar names from the previous four stories and some new ones besides.

There’s also a continuing story developing that can be traced back to #2. I’m really looking forward to writing the future stories in this universe! I’ve planned for at least 10-12 but I can easily see myself writing these stories indefinitely.

I won’t change the style, though, so you can always be assured there won’t be any major cliffhangers. I like having each story stand as a complete tale. (Although I personally think they’re much better if you read them all and in order! And I make no promises that the continuing story won’t have some minor cliffhangers in there!)

Now I just need a title for this one and I’ll be set. :D

Wolves’ Heat and the Central United States Earthquake Threat

If you’ve read my Wolves’ Heat series, you know that the stories occur on Earth but in the future, and because geology is never static, I had made the decision that sometime about thirty years before Ian’s birth (Ian’s Choice), there’d been a massive earthquake in the central United States. I referred to this quake in all three books of the series. Some of the aftereffects of that quake even come into play quite dramatically in the latest book, Brendan’s Fate.

Well, this bit of news came up in my reader today and I thought about my decision and felt a little thrill at the thought that I had chosen to include that as part of the history of my world.

A debate has swirled in recent years, fueled in part by past studies suggesting that continuing New Madrid seismic activity could be the tail end of a long-lived aftershock sequence following the 1811-1812 earthquakes. If modern activity is an aftershock sequence, the argument goes, then there is no evidence that stress is currently building in the zone. Instead, Page and Hough conclude that the current level of activity must be the signature of active, ongoing processes that continue to generate stress in the region –stress that we expect will eventually be released in future large earthquakes. In other words, the New Madrid Seismic Zone is not dead.

I bolded the part that I found most fascinating. Anyway, just thought I’d share because it seemed so interesting to me!

Brendan’s Fate and Other Books Are On Google Play Now!

Brendan's Fate cover imageYou can now get Brendan’s Fate and the rest of my Wolves’ Heat and New Canton Republic books on Google Play.

That Google Play link will take you to my books on the Google Play store.

I love how slick the Play store is. Although, I admit I’ve only ever bought a few books on Google Play myself, but I love the app interface on my phone. I usually read on my Kindle Fire or my first gen Nook which has an e-ink screen. I also love Aldiko and use it on my phone and my Kindle for non-DRM books. Other than print books, which I still read a lot of, I’d say I read the most on my phone despite owning both a Kindle and Nook. I like how it fits in the palm of my hand and in my back pocket.

I haven’t gotten my R’H’ani Chronicles short stories or my Hend and Yurt series up on Play yet, but I plan to do that soon. Let me know if you want me to get in a hurry with that. :)

Brendan’s Fate (Wolves’ Heat #3) is Available!

The third WOLVES’ HEAT book, Brendan’s Fate, is available now! You can find links directly to the book at many online ebook retailers on the Brendan’s Fate book page.

Submit or die…

Brendan wakes up in the woods with a head injury and an alien named Trey, and no memory of who he is. Others of Trey’s kind are hunting them, and they want Brendan dead. The only thing standing between them and Brendan is Trey.

Wolves, they’re called, with their wicked claws and sharp teeth, and they’ve shared Earth with humans for years.

The only thing Brendan knows about Trey is that he’s a leader of the wolves—and that he’s already demanding more from Brendan than Brendan’s willing to give…

Book 3 of the Wolves’ Heat series continues the story that began with Ian’s Choice and Devon’s Gamble, where Brendan finally meets his fate…

This story contains explicit sex, graphic language, and sexual situations that some people might find offensive. Male/Male romance for anyone who likes hot male/male loving with a strong dose of Alpha romance!

If you pick up a copy, thank you! I sincerely hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Brendan’s Fate Update

I had a few more delays with Brendan’s Fate than I hoped for, but the book is finally just about ready. Brendan’s book is the 3rd in the Wolves’ Heat series. Unfortunately, because of the holidays I can’t say exactly when Brendan’s Fate will be available, but the goal is to have it available by the end of December or the first week of January. Where that falls within the time frame of December 21st – January 6th, I can’t say, but I’m going to do everything I can to be sure it’s at least at Amazon within that time period.

As soon as I have a better idea of the release date, I’ll be sure to post a notice here on the website.

Thank you for being patient! I’m so excited about this book. I can’t believe how much I’ve grown to love Brendan, and I sincerely hope you do too if you read his story.

An update on upcoming books and a question or two

Brendan’s Fate is the next book I’ll be putting out, but it won’t be the last Wolves’ Heat book. And although I finished the trilogy about the New Canton Republic, that world still has plenty of stories in it and I’ll be putting out another book in that series after Brendan’s Fate, before revisiting Wolves’ Heat.

Somewhere in there, I’m determined to get The King’s Gambit written and released, the 2nd book in the Hend & Yurt series because Leon’s and Geran’s story is far from over. They have adventures awaiting them and a villainess to face. I also want to give Rand a story and write more about Ithera and Thad. ;)

That said, though, there are plenty of fellas in the Wolves’ Heat universe that need love and I won’t be ignoring them for long.

If only I could write faster!

What series are you most interested in seeing continue? Do you have a favorite minor character you’d like to see find love?

I definitely write the stories I want to read, but I am very open to requests from anyone who has read my stories and liked them enough to want to read more. Just leave a comment here or email me. :)

Devon’s Gamble is Available! (Wolves’ Heat 2)

Devon's Gamble cover image

Devon’s Gamble was scheduled for release on August 15, but it’s available a few days early at several online book stores.

Currently available at: Smashwords | Amazon | All Romance Ebooks | KOBO | and more to come!

For the most up to date collection of links where you can buy the book, check out the main page for Devon’s Gamble!

Devon’s Gamble is the second book in the Wolves’ Heat series.

The first book in the series, Ian’s Choice, is also available at all these stores and more.

Don’t run if you get caught unless you want claws in your spine and teeth in your neck and two hundred pounds of lust-crazed wolf on your back.

First contact between humans and the alien species they’ve nicknamed “wolves” couldn’t have been more tranquil. The wolves shared their superior technology and knowledge in exchange for a new home, and thousands of wolves abandoned their aging spacefaring ships to settle in Earth’s forested mountain regions.

But the wolves held some secrets too close and humanity has begun paying the price.

Once every three years, humans become sexual prey to a species that has no control over the urge to mate because of an unexpected and devastating attraction to human scent.

Heat season has arrived and Devon’s taken a dangerous bet that’s put him dead center in the midst of a pack of wolves.

When a wolf claims Devon as a heat mate, Devon has one choice: submit, or die…

This story contains explicit sex, graphic language, and sexual situations that some people might find offensive. As usual, there are likely too many instances of fuck and shit, but I cannot seem to help myself. I had fun. If you read the book, I sincerely hope you do too.

Devon’s Gamble Release Date is August 15!

I wanted to update now that I have a release date for Devon’s Gamble, the second book in the Wolves’ Heat series. The release date is a little later than I had hoped but August 15 is the date. If it becomes available anywhere before that, I’ll be sure to post an update. :)

I’m so excited that Devon’s story will finally be out!

New Canton Republic Series Will Continue

I’ve had interest in a continuation of the New Canton Republic series, so I’m thinking I will definitely revisit that world for more books. I don’t have a set date for when I’ll get to write the next one, but I’d say at least another by the end of the year.

I’m thrilled that readers are enjoying the books in the series.

I wanted to be sure that readers who were expecting a trilogy got the payoff they deserved at the end of the three books though, since I had originally listed Of Magic and Mating as the first in a trilogy. But I already have quite the idea coming alive for another book so I am putting it in my schedule.
